Heavy rains lash north-east regions in Rajasthan

Heavy rains today lashed north-east regions of Rajasthan including Kota, Udaipur, Jaipur, Alwar, Ajmer, and Tonk districts.

Vanasthali recorded the maximum rainfall of 10 cm till 8:30 hours, a MeT report said here.

Normal life was affected due to heavy rains in Kota, Ajmer, Jaipur, Alwar and Udaipur districts since yesterday, the report said.

Many areas and low lying roads in the outskirts of Jaipur were also inundated following heavy rains since this morning. Jaipur recorded 20 mm of rainfall till 1730 hrs.

Since morning Udaipur also received heavy rainfall of 45 mm, followed by Ajmer 44 mm, and Kota 20 mm.
 

Scattered rains have also hit western regions of Jodhpur and Bikaner division since this morning.

The MeT department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall at isolated places in the state during the next 24 hours.
