Heavy rains likely in next two days in state

Moderate to heavy rains lashed several parts of the state as monsoon continued to remain active.

Director meteorological department Dr Manmohan Singh said wide-spread rains are likely to occur in Himachal on July 28 and 30, adding that a wet spell is in the offing for the coming week.

Gohar which received 182 mm of rains was the wettest followed by Palampur 56 mm, Kahu 55 mm, Baldwara 53mm.

The maximum temperatures decreased by a slight margin in the area and Una registered the highest temperature at 35 degrees Celcius.

There was no appreciable change in the minimum temperatures and Manali was the lowest at 13 degrees Celcius.
