The city received 39.4 mm rains from 0830 hours to 1130 hours today.

Many localities in areas like Tonk road, Ajmer road and Sikar road suffered water-logging and commuters faced difficulties today.

Rain water entered into houses in various colonies. Vehicular movement was hit and trains were also running late.

However, there was no need to shift people from low-lying areas, according to an official.

There is water-logging at many places but there was no panic in low-lying areas today and no untoward incident took place, Additional District Collector-Jaipur, Jaswant Singh said.

Thousands of people had to be shifted from low-lying areas of the city to relief camps last month due to heavy rains.
