Heavy rainfall coupled with gusty surface wind is likely over some parts of Odisha till tomorrow due to a low pressure, while fishermen have been asked not to venture into the sea as its condition will be rough.

Yesterday's Low Pressure area over Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal now lies over the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining areas of Jharkhand, the meteorological centre here said.

Under its impact, rain or thundershower is likely to occur at many places over north Odisha and at a few places over south Odisha during till tomorrow, it said.

The system is likely to trigger heavy rainfall at one or two places over districts of interior Odisha till tomorrow.

Gusty surface wind from Northwesterly direction with speed reaching 45-55 KMPH gusting up to 65 KMPH would prevail along and off South Odisha coast. Sea condition would be rough to very rough, the MeT office said advising fishermen not to venture into the sea in South Odisha coast.
