A heavy rush for filing of nominations by candidates is likely to be witnessed in Telangana region on the last day tomorrow.

The number of nominations filed since the poll process commenced on April 2, has been small owing to several factors, like delay in clinching alliances between TDP and BJP and Congress-CPI.

TDP and BJP were yet to sort out the seat sharing arrangement and many nominations are likely to be filed tomorrow.

As per the alliance announced last Sunday, BJP would contest 47 assembly seats (out of 119) and eight Lok Sabha constituencies (out of 17) in Telangana.

There has been resentment from ticket aspirants in both the parties over the alliance as they stand to lose their seats.

Congress released its list of candidates comprising 111 nominees yesterday and some of them are expected to file nominations tomorrow.

Congress has an understanding with CPI for the polls, which is impacting the process of submitting nominations.

TRS, though going it alone, has announced its third list today and the exercise of filing papers will go on tomorrow.

YSRCP, though appears to have lost the momentum in Telangana after it supported 'united Andhra Pradesh', was also yet to announce its candidates for the region.
