Heavy shower brings down temperatures in Hry and Pb

The maximum temperatures in Haryana and Punjab today dropped below normal limits due to heavy showers.

A day after light showers here, Union Territory of Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 30.5 degrees Celsius, down three notches against normal, as per the MeT department's report.

Hisar in Haryana registered a high of 33.7 degrees Celsius, down three notches against normal after being lashed by showers, while Ambala recorded a maximum of 30.3 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal.

Narnaul, which was lashed by heavy rain, recorded a high of 29.5 degrees Celsius, down five degrees against normal.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 32.4 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
 

Ludhiana and Patiala, which received light rain, recorded below-normal maximum temperatures of 30.4 degrees Celsius and 30.6 degrees Celsius respectively.

The MeT department has predicted rain and thunder showers at many places in Punjab and Haryana over the next two days.

Heavy rain is likely in the next two days at isolated places in the two states.
