Higher parts, including Dauladhar ranges, recorded 25 to 40 cm snow while Rohtang pass, the gateway of the Lahual and Spiti district, had 70 cm of accumulated snow.
Similarly, Udaipur in Lahaul and Spiti district recorded 9 cms while Keylong and Kalpa experienced 1 to 2 cm of fresh snow.
The mid and lower hills were lashed by intermittent snow accompanied by icy winds resulting sharp fall in mercury.
In the state, Tissa recorded 17 mm of rain while it was 16 mm in Saloni followed by 15 mm in Bhuntar and Manali each, meteorological department said.
Dalhousie and Seobagh got 13 mm snow each, Gohar, Sundernagar and Kotkhai 12 mm, Bangana 10 mm, Kher and Jogindernagar 8 mm each, MeT said.
Although the state capital Shimla witnessed sunny day it recorded a minimum temperature of 2.7 degree Celsius, a drop of 3.4 notches from yesterday's 6.1 deg C.

Keylong, the district headquarter of Lahual and Spiti, recorded a low of minus 3.9 deg C while it was minus 3.5 deg C in Kalpa in Kinnaur district followed by Sundernagar and Bhuntar 4.8 deg C each, Dharamsala 7.6 deg C, Una 8.6 deg C, Manali 4.1 deg C.
The local MeT office has predicted mainly dry weather for the next 24 hours.
