Shares of HeidelbergCement India Ltd today rose sharply by 7.5 per cent after the company reported a net profit of Rs 31.76 crore for the quarter ended December 2017.
The company's scrip gained 7.23 per cent to end at Rs 160.95 on BSE. Intra-day, it zoomed 11.69 per cent to Rs 167.65.
On NSE, shares of the company surged 7.53 per cent to settle at Rs 161.30.
The company had posted a net loss of Rs 3.58 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
The total income of the company increased to Rs 500.5 crore, over Rs 471.41 crore in the year-ago period.
