One person was today arrested for allegedly attacking a Special Sub-Inspector of Police with a sickle.
Kurppiah was angry as SSI Sellapandi had fined him twice for driving a sand-lorry and motorcycle and had attacked him on the highway here yesterday, police said.
The SSI has been admitted to hospital.
