Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission has issued notices to the state police and local authorities seeking a detailed report of the car accident involving BJP MP Hema Malini, which killed a four-year-old girl.

After taking cognisance of media reports in which the girl's father Hanuman Mahajan claimed that her life could have been saved had she been rushed to a private hospital along with the actress, the commission issued the notices yesterday.

"The Commission took cognisance of (media) reports and issued the notices yesterday to the SP and District CMHO seeking a detailed report of the incident," member of the Commission, M K Devrajan told PTI today.

Meanwhile, Malini, in her tweets today, held the father responsible for the mishap, saying it could have been averted had Mahajan followed traffic rules.

"How I wish the girl's father had followed the traffic rules - thn this accident could have been averted & the lil one's life safe!(sic)" she tweeted.
