The wife of Hemraj, a Nepalese domestic help who was murdered along with Aarushi, has thanked Indian judiciary for ending her long wait for justice with life sentences for the Talwar couple.
Khum Kala, 45, expressed happiness over the sentencing of Rajesh and Nupur Talwar for murdering her husband Hemraj along with the dentist couple's 14-year-old daughter Arushi in 2008.
"Today I feel I have won a huge battle. I am now hopeful that I can begin a new life," she told Republica newspaper.

She also thanked the Indian court, the government of India, journalists and Nepalese welfare organisations in India after the verdict.
Kala said she was expecting death sentence for the Talwar couple but was happy that justice has been finally done to her.
"It has now been proven that my husband was innocent," said Kala.
Kala hails from a poor family in Dharapani Village in Arghakhachi district of western Nepal.
Her husband Hemraj went to India in 2008 to find work so that he can educate his son and daughter.
