America's two top former diplomats have said they will not endorse two presidential candidates, after reports circulated that they were considering a joint endorsement of Hillary Clinton.
"We are not making any endorsement in the current presidential election," Henry Kissinger and George Shultz said in a brief statement issued amidst reports that they are headed to endorse the 68-year-old Democratic presidential nominee.
"We are dedicated to fostering bipartisan foreign policy, and we will devote ourselves to their effort now and after the election," they said in the statement.

A day earlier Schultz had indicated the possibility of endorsing Clinton along with Kissinger as he was critical of Trump's policies.
"We are going to do it together. It will have more impact," he told Politico.
Last month he said "God help us" when asked about the possibility of a Trump presidency.
