Reality TV series 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' has been cancelled by TLC after two years and four seasons.

The network made the decision on October 24, reported Entertainment Weekly.

The cancellation follows reports that one of the show's stars, 'Mama June' Shannon, is dating a registered sex offender.

TLC has released a statement saying, "TLC has cancelled the series 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately.

"Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being."

'Honey Boo Boo', which is a spin-off from 'Toddlers & Tiaras', focused on child beauty contestant Alana Thompson and her family.

The last episode aired in the US in August of this year.
