Seeking to limit the impact of rising vegetable prices due to heavy rains here, Heritage Fresh Supermarket today said it would offer milk, water and vegetables at discounted rates over the next one week.
The company would offer the items at discounted rates at 30 supermarkets in Chennai, it said in a statement.
One kg tomato priced at Rs 80-100 in the open market would be retailed at Rs 57. Similarly, onions being sold Rs 60 could be purchased at Rs 49 per kg, it said.

"Chennai witnessed one of the most tragic natural calamities over the last few weeks... It is important for organisations to extend their support during these times. We have extended our support to help out the people", Heritage Retail and Bakery Division COO Dharmender Matai said.
The products would be available across its retail outlets in Chennai and outskirts of the city over the next one week, he said.
The state government has already announced 50 additional fair price vegetable outlets in the city to provide fruits and vegetables at concessional rates.
