Two-wheeler maker Hero Electric today launched two models of e-cycles under Avior range, priced at between Rs 18,990 and Rs 19,290 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The e-cycles that aim to tap corporate professionals in metro cities will also be available in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.
"This is primarily targeted at the young working class of the corporate houses, who love to reach their office from their nearby home in an eco-friendly way," Hero Eco Group Managing Director Naveen Munjal said.

Hero Electric said it would also sell the e-cycles online.
"We would also introduce Avior in the other markets as there is a good response from the dealers," Hero Electric India CEO, Global Business, Sohinder Gill said.
He, however, said it would be costlier in places other than Delhi which offers 15 per cent subsidy and zero VAT on e-cycles.
The e-cycles which are available for male and female riders. Hero Electric has around 250 dealers in India.
Munjal said although the company has been receiving good response to its electric two-wheelers, it would expand its distribution network in a gradual manner based on policy for electric vehicles.
"We are waiting for the government to come out with its policy on e-vechile. We are expanding but slowly. Once we get clarity over the policy, we would expand," he said.
