Two-wheeler major Hero MotoCorp (HMCL) today said it sold 6.6 million units in 2014-15.
The figure is 6 per cent up from the previous year, Senior Area Manager (Sales) HMCL, Jharkhand, Vikram Kulkarni said.
Kulkarni claimed that the company's performance in the state was better than the rest of the country. He was speaking, post launch of 'Xtreme Sports' and 'Passion-Pro' in Jharkhand.
The performance in the state, Kulkarni added, was also far ahead of its rivals.
Kulkarni said the launch of these (models) will offer "technologically superior products to their customers".
The "faster-than-ever" new Xtreme Sports promises to offer the best power output in its class.
The bike is powered by a 150-cc air-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder engine and has a host of new external features like the front cowl with aerodynamic visor, new wolf-eye headlamp with aggressive eyebrow lights and winkers.
Passion-Pro, he said, is one of the most popular motorcycle brands in the country with over a million units in annual sales.
Passion has reinvented itself with changing times and now comes with a more powerful engine, enhanced fuel efficiency and greater style quotient, Kulkarni added.
