The BSF today recovered three packets of contraband suspected to be heroin, a Chinese pistol and several rounds of ammunition in Border Out Post Bastiram Lal in Ferozepur sector.
BSF Official said troops who were on duty heard some suspicious sound on other side of the fence but nothing was visible due to dense fog, official said.
A special search operation was launched by Border Security Force troops in the area.
During search, BSF troops recovered 3 packets of (about 2.5 Kg) of contraband suspected to be heroin, one Chinese pistol with 2 magazines and 13 rounds of ammunition, which were lying ahead of Border Security Fence in between International Border and the fence, official said.
