Acting on a tip-off, NCB sleuths intercepted a Hyderabad-bound bus in Manpur area here last night and arrested a 45-year-old man, the bureau's Indore Regional Director B R Meena said.
Not disclosing the accused's name, Meena said search revealed that he was carrying 480 grams of heroin and 290 grams of another substance with him, both together worth Rs one crore in the international market.
The latter substance appeared to be Alprazolam, an anti-anxiety drug which can be sold only with a doctor's prescription as it is known to be misused.
It was sent to a forensic laboratory for tests, he said.
The accused had brought the contraband from Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh and was taking it to Hyderabad, Meena said, adding that efforts were on to nab his associates.
