Heroin worth Rs 125 cr seized

Punjab police today confiscated 25 kg of heroin having street value of Rs 125 crore in Fazilka district and arrested person.

Police also recovered three SIM of Pakistan, three mobile phone sets and a car from the accused, Gurcharan Singh, resident of Ferozepur.

The haul was smuggled by a Pakistan-based smuggler Imtiaz, a resident of Lahore, police said.

IG counter intelligence Dr Jitendra Jain said that a case has been registered under NDPS Act at Sadar Fazilka.
