Acting on a tip off, the SSB team led by Deputy Commandant Rajan Kumar Srivastava seized the contraband from a coach of the train, SSB Assistant Commandant Ashutosh Kumar said.
The contraband, with a 'Made in Thailand' tag, was lying abandoned in a plastic bag in the coach of the train that runs between Jogbani and Katihar, he said.
The SSB guards the 1751-km Indo-Nepal border, besides India's international boundary with Bhutan.
