Animal healthcare firm Hester Biosciences today reported a 28.54 per cent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 7.07 crore for the quarter ended March 31 mainly on account of robust sales.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 5.50 crore for the same period a year ago, Hester Biosciences said in a BSE filing.
Standalone net sales of the company also rose to Rs 34.93 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 28.18 crore for the same period a year ago.

Standalone net sales of the company also rose to Rs 123.21 crore for the fiscal ended March 31, 2017 as against Rs 100.89 crore in the previous fiscal year.
In another filing, the company said its board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 2.30 per equity share for the financial year 2016-17.
The board of directors had earlier declared and paid an interim dividend of Rs 3 per equity share on October 20,2016, it added.
Shares of Hester Biosciences today closed 7.04 per cent higher at Rs 905.95 per scrip on BSE.
