Hideout busted, explosive and ammunition recovered in Reasi

Army and police today jointly busted a hideout and recovered a large cache of explosives and ammunition from Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Acting on a tip off, Rastriya Rifle troops and state police personnel conducted a joint operation in the Chajuru forest of Mahore and located a hideout today, Defence spokesperson S N Acharya said.

The team busted the hideout and recovered 10 kg of explosives, five hand grenades, five UBGL grenades, one country-made rifle and cartridges of AK rifles, Acharya said.

"With this recovery, the last hideout of Hizbul Mujahideen has been busted in the region," said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mahore, Mushim Ahmed.
