Alleging that a conspiracy has been hatched to lower the dignity of lawyers in public, Orissa High Court Bar Association today urged the city police to quickly complete the investigations into the alleged molestation case inside High Court premises.

They also urged the police to clear the air over the molestation that has cast "aspersions" on lawyer-police relationship.

"We have asked the city police to complete the investigation soon and file the final report in court," said the Association secretary Umesh Chandra Beura.

The bar members, he said, would meet on Monday morning to chalk out the next course of action.

Police had registered cases of molestation against two government advocates who allegedly mandled and molested a state crime branch woman police inspector in the HC lift when she was on duty this week after receiving a written complaint from her.

Police have also recorded the statements of the complainant and sought the footages of the CCTV camera fitted inside the lift.

The bar secretary has, however, claimed that no such video footages corroborated the allegations made by the woman police officer.
