High humidity prevailed in almost all parts of West Bengal today causing discomfort with the Met department forecasting thunderstorm and rain.
Asansol recorded the day's highest in the state at 38.8 degrees C, while neighbouring Bankura recorded 37.6 degrees C, the Met department said.
Sriniketan and Burdwan recorded 36.1 degrees Celsius and 35.0 degrees Celsius respectively.
