A high level committee meeting on 'Mahamaham festival 2016' was held here today.
The meeting, chaired by state chief secretary Gnanadesikan, reviewed the progress of projects and schemes for the festival.
Ministers Vaithilingam, Kamaraj, Velumani, besides top police and government officials took part. MLAs Anbalagan, Duraikannu, Rethinasamy also were present.
The flooring works in Mahamaham tank banks and other works will be done at a cost of Rs.75 lakh, officials said.
