High-profile party busted; 66 arrested, cash, liquor seized

Police busted a high-profile party following a raid at a hotel in the city and arrested 66 persons, including six girls.

On a tip-off, Ghaziabad police raided the hotel last night located at Inder Gadhi under Mussorie police station and seized cash worth Rs 9.80 lakh, more than 100 mobiles, 18 luxury cars, arms and ammunition, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ran Vijay Singh said.

Illegal casinos were found operating in the hotel, he said, adding, girls were seen serving liquor.

In some of the rooms at the hotel, couples were found in compromising positions, he said.

Those arrested are mostly businessman from Delhi and Faridabad, he added.
 

Hotel owner Dharmendra Aggarwal, a resident of Raj Nagar colony, has also been arrested and booked under various sections of Gambling Act, Excise Act and Immoral trafficking Act, the Deputy SP said, adding, he was running the bar and casino without any permit.

"We are checking the antecedents of the detainees and investigation is underway," Singh said.
