High-speed internet for all Odisha gram panchayats

In a bid to digitally empower the people in the state, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said arrangements were being made to provide high-speed internet connection to all gram panchayats of Odisha in the next three years.

"Odisha provides an excellent eco-system in IT sector. Now out focus is to provide high-speed internet connection to our citizens up to gram panchayat level in next theee years," Pataik said while inagurating the INFOCOM Advantage Odisha-2017, a two-day event.

The seminar is being organised by Electronics & IT Department, OCAC and the ABP Group with an objective of promoting entrepreneurship here.

Patnaik said the state government has also prepared robust plans to spread internet connectivity to the remotest part of the state by 2020.
 

Patnaik said the growth rate of IT exports from the state was more than the national growth rate for the last many years.
