Hike in diesel price to deflect attention from Bansal,Ashwani:

BJP today alleged government has announced a hike in diesel prices to deflect the country's attention from "strife" within Congress on the issue of resignation of Railway Minister and the Law Minister over different controversies.

"To deflect the attention from the strife in Congress on the issue of resignations of Railway Minister Pawan Bansal and Law Minister Ashwani Kumar, the government announced a hike in prices of diesel," party spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain told reporters here.

Oil companies today announced a hike of Rs 1.02 in prices of diesel in the country.

The BJP leader said the whole country is looking towards the Prime Minister to clear the 'confusion" about the resignations of Bansal and Kumar and "whether they are still holding their offices or not".
 

He said the media was saying that the two ministers have been sacked but the government is silent on the issue.
