The 37-year-old actress filed a suit against executives of Robert's Home Audio and Video in May claiming they had used her name and image in promotional materials without her permission, reported TMZ online.
Swank had filed documents at a Superior Court here asking a judge to dismiss the case and the lawsuit was dropped.
Robert Yates, lawyer for Robert's Home Audio and Video, insisted that Swank simply decided against pursuing the legal action.
"It's a lot of bother for very little potential benefit," Yates said.
