Hillary Clinton has come out with a memoir in which she describes what it was like to run the US presidential election against Donald Trump, the mistakes she made and how she has coped with her loss.
"In the past, for reasons I try to explain, I've often felt I had to be careful in public, like I was up on a wire without a net. Now I'm letting my guards down," she says.
"What Happened", published by Simon & Schuster, releases on September 12.

This is for the first time that Hillary reveals what she was thinking during one of the most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections in US's history.
She tells the "story of what it was like to be the first woman nominated for president in an election marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, kooky theatrics, Russian interference, a maddening inattention to serious issues, deplorable (yes, deplorable) bigotry, and an opponent who broke all the rules", the publisher said.
Hillary also addresses the challenges of being a strong woman in public life, the criticism over her voice, age, and body, and how all women in politics confront a double standard whenever they express anger or ambition.
The election of 2016 was unprecedented and historic.
"What Happened" is the story of that campaign and its aftermath - both a deeply intimate account and a cautionary tale.
