US-based power producer Hilliard Energy is firming up plans to invest USD 650 million to set up solar- and wind-based projects in Andhra Pradesh.
The company is looking to install 500 MW solar and 150 MW wind capacity in a phased manner.
According to a statement issued by the office of state IT Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy today, the US firm has been issued a letter of intent to set up the plants.
"The company officials have indicated that they will be visiting the state soon to acquire information regarding possible location and power purchase agreement (PPA), among others," the release added.
