Himachal: 3 killed as truck plunges into gorge

Three persons, including two Nepalese, were killed while two others sustained serious injuries when an apple-laden truck on way to Delhi rolled down into a 500 feet-deep gorge near Dhali village here.

DSP (Rajgarh sub-division) B S Bragta said five persons were traveling in the truck when the mishap occurred.

The deceased have been identified as Sunil (32) and 27-year-old Bhupender (both from Nepal) and Shubham (20), he said.

Both the Nepali nationals had currently been residing in India, he said, adding that the two injured have been admitted to a hospital where their condition is stated to be critical.
 

Meanwhile, in Danda Pagar village under Paonta sub division, a bus conductor Ras Pal (22) was swept away by the swirling waters of a river, police said. His body is yet to be recovered.
