The meeting, which was held after the defeat of BJP in the Assembly polls, passed one line resolution recommending Governor Urmila Singh to dissolve the Assembly to pave way for constitution of newly elected house.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister P K Dhumal said that he had already submitted his resignation to the Governor.
The resignation is likely to be accepted today after the Governor, who is out of station, arrives here.
In an informal chat with mediapersons, Dhumal said the party would look into the reasons of defeat and take up an elaborate exercise for constituency-wise analysis of poll results.
When asked whether ticket distribution attributed to the defeat, especially in Kangra district, he said that it could be one of the reasons but only a detailed analysis can point out the reasons.
When asked if failure to carve out new districts in Kangra led to the defeat, Dhumal said,"We would have won twelve seats in Kangra districts if new districts were created."
