Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister VB Singh today hit out at state BJP for launching a campaign against him, saying the opposition party was attacking him in an attempt to save its senior leader PK Dhumal who is facing corruption charges.

Slamming the BJP's campaign 'Virbhadra Singh hatao, Himachal Bachao', Singh said,"In reality it is a drive to save Dhumals, facing cases in HPCA and other property matters and the slogan should be 'Virbhadra hatao, Dhumal Bachao'."

The chief minister was addressing a rally organised by state Youth Congress to protest against what they alleged a bid of BJP and central government to destabilise the state government.

The Congress veteran reiterated his resolve to fight back Dhumal, who he claimed to be person behind all conspiracies to destabilise the Congress government and fabricate cases against him.

Giving a new slogan of 'mission repeat 2017', Virbhadra Singh said that even three generations of Dhumal (Ex-CM Prem Kumar Dhumal) will not be able to harm him.

The chief minister who would complete three years in office on December 25, in hissixth term, said that the BJP was seeking his ouster in the wake of the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) registering cases against him on the Disproportionate Assets (DA) and money laundering charges respectively but he would fight their designs and not oblige them.
