Himachal continues to reel under cold waves

Mercury remained below normal by several notches in various parts of the state and Keylong in the tribal Lahaul and Spiti district remained the coldest place at minus 10 degrees.

While capital Shimla and Dharamsala recorded minimums of 7.4 degrees, Bhuntar, Manali and Sundernagar also reeled under severe cold wave with temperatures of zero, 0.2 and 0.5 degrees Celsius, Met office said.

Una and Kalpa recorded minimums of 1.4 degrees, two to three degrees below normal.

The Met office forecasts dry weather in the region during next three days, with a respite from cold.
