Himachal Pardesh Transport Minister G S Bali today narrowly escaped a road accident as his driver suffered a cardiac arrest while driving on the Rupnagar- Chandigarh highway.
Bali was going to Delhi from Kangra for an official work when the incident occurred on National Highway 21 near Chaklan village, police said.
The driver managed to steer the car towards fields to avoid collision on the road, police said.
The minister was unhurt, while the driver was admitted to a hospital for treatment, police added.
