Keylong in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest place with a low of minus 11 degrees Celsius, followed by Kalpa in Kinnaur district, which recorded a minimum of minus 6.2 degrees.
Manali recorded a minimum of minus 4.0 degrees Celsius, Solan minus 3.6 degrees and Sundernagar and Bhuntar minus 1 degree each, the Met office said.

Nahan in the foothills of Himalayas recorded minimum temperature of 2.8 degrees, five notches below normal.
High altitude areas continued to shiver, with minimum temperature staying between minus 15 and minus 25 degrees Celsius.
Bhuntar recorded a maximum temperature of 17.0 degrees, Sundernagar 16.9 degrees, Dharamsala 15.8, Solan 15.5, Nahan 15, Una 12.2, Shimla 10.2 and Kalpa 6.4 degrees.
