The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association is all set to host a galaxy of star cricketers in the Vijay Hazare one-day tournament with the state body getting to organise 15 matches in three different locations for the first time.

The three venues namely, Dharamsala Cricket Stadium, Luhnu Stadium in Bilaspur and the Amtar Ground in Nadaun will be hosting five matches each.

"Fifteen one-day matches will be played at our three venues, including Dharamsala, from November 6 to 14," said HPCA press secretary Mohit Sood.

"This is the highest number of matches allocated by BCCI to Himachal Prades Cricket Association in a season, he added.

The state will be star studded during these 15 matches as international players like Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Ashish Nehra and Harbhajan Singh would be seen playing for their respective teams.

The players would be looking to impress national selector Vikram Rathour, who will visit the venues to monitor performances in order to finalise a list of 30 probable candidates for the 2015 World Cup.

Speaking on this, President HPCA Anurag Thakur said, "It's a great achievement for a small association like HPCA to host 15 Ranji matches. We will try to hold more domestic fixtures at these venues which will definitely help honing local talent."

The HPCA team is expecting a huge turnout at the grounds as this is an exceptional chance for the locals to catch some of its favourite players in action from close quarters.
