Himachal Pradesh government would set up a committee to sort out problems of small Hydro-power projects and ensure their expeditious execution, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said today.
The committee will be formed under the chairmanship of HP Electricity Regulatory Commission.
Singh, in a one day meet organised Himachal Bonafide Hydro Power Developers Association in collaboration with Himurja and Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, said that the committee would seek report within a month so that no time is lost.
The Chief Minister said that the recommendations of the committee regarding time-bound clearances of projects would be crucial and the officials creating hurdles and causing delay would be held responsible for laxity.
