The day temperatures rose marginally in most parts of Himachal Pradesh today even as the region witnessed widespread snow and rains.
The tribal areas like Kalpa and Keylong in Kinnaur had another spell of snow while the high altitude areas reeled under piercing cold wave conditions with mercury staying 12 to 20 degree below freezing point.
Manali recorded minimum temperature at 0.6 degree Celsius, followed by Shimla 3.3 degree, Una 6.0 degree, Palampur and Solan 7.2 degree, Sunderngar 7.6 degree, Bhuntar 8.2 degree, Dharamsala 8.6 degree and Nahan 10.4 degree.

The mid and lower hills were lashed by widespread heavy rains and Bhandal was wettest with 62 mm rains while Kasauli and Nainadevi recorded 46 mm and 40 mm rains, followed by Kalatop 38 mm, Dharampur 35 mm, Nurpur 34 mm, Kheri 30 mm, Ghamroor 29 mm, Saloni 27 mm, Dharamshala 25 mm, Baldwara 24 mm, Mehre 22 mm, Palampur 21 mm, Bilaspur and Jubbarhatti 20 mm, Shimla 19 mm, Hamirpur 18 mm, Sundernagar 13 mm and Bhuntar 12.4 mm.
Una was hottest in the region with maximum temperature at 26.8 degree Celsius while Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded a high of 23.4 degree and 21.6 degree respectively, followed by Nahan 21.0 degree, Solan 20.2 degree, Dharamshala 17.8 degree, Shimla 15.2 degree, Manali 13.2 degree, Kalpa 12.6 degree, Kalpa 12.6 degree.
The local MeT office has predicted dry weather for the next two days with rains and snow at isolated places on March 20.
