Himatsingka Seide promoter sells 1.17% stake for Rs 38 crore

A promoter of textile firm Himatsingka Seide today sold 1.17 per cent stake in the company for over Rs 38 crore through an open market transaction.

According to bulk deal data of the BSE, Leela Devi Himatsingka, a promoter of Himatsingka Seide, disposed of 11,55,350 shares, amounting to 1.17 per cent stake, in the textile firm.

The shares were offloaded at an average price of Rs 332 per share, valuing the transaction at Rs 38.36 crore, the data showed.

As of the September quarter, Leela Devi Himatsingka held 23,22,786 shares of the firm, representing 2.36 per cent stake in the company.
 

Merrill Lynch India Equities Fund (Mauritius) bought 13,76,602 shares of the company for Rs 45.70 crore.

The stock ended the day on the BSE at Rs 332.85, up 1.03 per cent from the previous close.
