Hind Samachar Group gives Rs 41 lakh to terror-hit families

Rs 41 lakh was today distributed as relief amount among 164 terror-affected families in Jammu and Kashmir, at a function organised here by the Hind Samachar Group of newspapers.

Each family was given Rs 25,000 besides relief materials that included blankets, utensils, clothes, flour and rice at the function held at the Hind Samachar Maidan.

Run under the direction of the Group's Chief Editor Vijay Kumar Chopra, the Shaheed Parivar Fund was initiated by the newspaper chain in 1981.

Chhattisgarh Governor Balramji Das Tandon, who was the chief guest, flagged off a truck carrying relief material for terror-affected families in J-K and for displaced people.
