Hindi journalism has had a glorious past in U'khand: Bahuguna

Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna today said Hindi journalism had a glorious past in Uttarakhand where it played a crucial role both in the country's freedom struggle and the movement for statehood.

In his message to journalists on Hindi Journalism Day, Bahuguna said Hindi journalists of Uttarakhand made their significant contribution to the country's struggle for Independence and movement for statehood by awakening people through their writings.

It is really creditable that Hindi Journalism has flourished in the era of globalisation and a revolution in the IT sector, he said.

The Chief Minister expressed hope that Hindi journalists will continue raising issues of public interest through their writings and maintain their credibility to deal with the challenges of the 21st century.
