A Hindu outfit, claiming to have support of VHP and several other right-wing organisations, today announced to block traffic at 76 locations across the state capital tomorrow against the shifting of temples by the government.

'Mandir Bachao Sangharsh Samiti' said that their stir will continue if the government does not take a "positive decision" to relocate important temples to their original sites.

Badri Narayan Chaudhary, convener of the samiti, claimed that "nearly 100 Hindu outfits and social organisations have extended their support to the movement and a peaceful 'chakka jam' will be observed tomorrow from 9 AM to 11 AM."

Barring vehicles of emergency services, High Court judges and police, all the vehicles would be stopped at 76 key points in the city, he said at a press conference tonight and sought stern action against officers who gave permission to relocate the temples for construction of metro line.

Chaudhary alleged,"In one-and-a-half year the government has shifted 73 temples while 34 temples were relocated during the former Congress regime.
