A group of Hindu pilgrims from India will arrive in this eastern Pakistani city tomorrow to attend the Shivaratri festival at the historic Katas Raj temple.

The pilgrims, who will enter Pakistan through the Wagah land border, will travel to Chakwal district near Islamabad on March 9 to participate in the festivities.

Senior officials of the Evacuee Trust Property Board, which is responsible for arranging such pilgrimages, will receive the yatris at Wagah.

The pilgrims will stay in Chakwal for two days and perform rituals on March 10, officials said, adding that fool-proof security arrangements have been made for them.

The pilgrims will return to Lahore on March 11 and visit Krishna Mandir and other religious sites.

They will return to India via Wagah on March 13.
