Hindu temple guard killed in Pakistan

A policeman on duty at a Hindu temple was shot dead by unknown assailants in this restive northwestern Pakistani city today.

Constable Ghulam Mohammad was performing his routine duty at Jhanda Bazar Hindu temple when unidentified persons opened fire on him, severely injuring him. He later succumbed to his injuries.

Police said they are investigating the case.
