A 25-year-old Hindu woman was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified persons in this northwestern Pakistani city, her relatives said today.
Sapna Rani, a teacher, was reportedly abducted yesterday afternoon while on her way home from the school where she worked.
Police officials said they they had launched an investigation but claimed she had eloped.

Faqir Chand, the father of the woman, said his daughter was a teacher at Peshawar Science Academy on G T Road. He told the media that she went to work at 7.45 am yesterday and the family began to worry when she did not return till 4 pm.
After failing to trace Sapna, her relatives informed the police.
Bindya Rani, the woman's mother, told the media: "We don't have an enmity with anyone." She asked the government to do everything to find her daughter.
