Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on assumption of office, leading industrialists Hindujas today said with an excellent choice in ministers, the Cabinet seems geared towards implementation and success.

Hinduja Group Chairman S P Hinduja said the decisiveness and confidence with which Modi constituted his council of ministers augurs well for the future.

"After a long time, India has shown the world the reality as to 'what is India'," he said. "Now the question is of implementation. The challenges ahead have to be tackled well."

His brother G P Hinduja complimented Modi for picking a Cabinet that indicates his decisiveness and clarity of thought.

"I believe the choice of ministers is excellent as all of them exude great energy and will synergise with Modi's objectives to galvanise the Indian economy, both from a social as well as an economic perspective," said the junior Hinduja, who is Co-Chairman of the Hinduja Group.

Stating that yesterday's swearing-in ceremony indicated the business-like nature of the Cabinet as a whole, he said the new Cabinet seems implementation- and success-oriented, which should bode well for India.

"I would take the liberty of suggesting the incorporation of 'time-bound' accountability and monitoring of this Cabinet and its performance so as to ensure that results happen quickly and are in tune with Modi's overall vision. My congratulations to him," he added.

S P Hinduja said, "The decisiveness and confidence with which the new council of ministers were selected and sworn in augurs well for the future.
