State-owned Hindustan Copper today reported a 72.2 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 17.21 crore for the quarter ended September 30 on the back of lower income from operations.
The company's net profit in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal was Rs 62.01 crore, Hindustan Copper said in a filing to BSE.
The total income from operations during the quarter was Rs 220.80 crore, registering a decrease of 34 per cent.

The company's total income from operations during the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year was at Rs 335.05 crore.
Total expenses of the PSU came down to Rs 221.24 crore, over Rs 270.32 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY'14, the company said.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 80.50 apiece on BSE, down 3.01 per cent from the previous close.
