Hindustan Powerprojects commissions 1st unit of Anuppur plant

Hindustan Powerprojects today said it has commissioned first unit of 600 MW of its Anuppur thermal power plant in Madhya Pradesh.

"Hindustan Powerprojects successfully achieved COD of unit-I (600 MW) of the first phase of its flagship 2520 MW Anuppur thermal power project in Madhya Pradesh," the company said in a statement.

The company had signed power purchase agreements with Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh governments. The coal for the project is being secured through a fuel supply agreement with South Eastern Coalfields.

The first phase of the project has been commissioned at a total cost of Rs 8,000 crore.

Suburban Diagnostics to open lab in Goa

Panaji: Mumbai-based diagnostic centre group Suburban Diagnostics will be launch its advanced laboratory in Margao near here on May 31.

"The company has 80 centres in Pune, Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Palghar, Ahmednagar, Latur and at other smaller locations of Maharashtra. This is our first ever non- Maharashtra expansion," Suburban Diagnostics Managing Director Sanjay Arora told reporters here today.

The company's laboratory will be set up in Margao town, 35 kms away from Panaji.

The company, which has eight laboratories across Maharashtra, said the tariff for tests is just ten per cent more than prices offered at government-run facilities.
